The Raising Hopes Student Initiative was a perfect fit for me because I am a huge advocate for spreading kindness and positivity—which I get to do for our local healthcare facilities by being a part of this group. I joined this club to show appreciation for our wonderful healthcare workers and to create a better patient experience in our ER Departments. I am super excited to continue our partnership with Misericordia Hospital and branch Raising Hopes out to long-term care centres!

As a Nursing Ambassador volunteer at the Misericordia Hospital, I have had the privilege to collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care and hold empathetic conversations with patients going through difficult times. With the pandemic unleashing tremendous strain on the healthcare system, I sensed the need to shed light on topics affecting the healthcare system on campus, so I joined RHSI as an executive in May 2022.

I joined Raising Hopes because I wanted to give back to our healthcare workers who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. Our dedication to making a positive impact in our community through supporting both healthcare workers and patients resonated with me. I am grateful to work with such a passionate and driven team; here's to another great year!

My involvement with Raising Hopes has allowed me to blend my creative passion with healthcare. With my position on the team being very unique it has allowed me to bring various project ideas to life while inspiring others.

I joined Raising Hopes in order to give back to healthcare workers that have dedicated their lives to maintaining and improving the health of our communities, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was drawn to how active this team is in holding fundraisers and educational seminars, and was excited at the opportunity to work with a passionate group of students.

I joined the club because I was inspired by its mission to give back to those who have sacrificed so much to help others. Since becoming a member, I’ve been delighted by the incredible community of like-minded students who share the same passion for making a difference.

My volunteering experience in health care settings has given me valuable insights into the challenges faced by both health care workers and patients. I share Raising Hopes commitment to increasing awareness about healthcare issues and making a positive impact in our community. I'm excited for another year with Raising Hopes and I believe that together, we can create a better healthcare experience for everyone.

As a volunteer at the Misericordia Community Hospital, I witnessed the problems facing patients and healthcare workers firsthand and wanted to be part of a team that addresses these issues in a meaningful way. I want to express my appreciation for the workers and brighten the lives of the patients.

Seeing the commitment of my healthcare team to take care and support me encouraged me to repay their kindness! I was really drawn to the impressive work the club does in giving back to staff and patients. I also really enjoyed volunteering and helping out the team as a previous volunteer and subcommittee member which motivated me to apply for my position this year.
